Chef Wallace's Vegan French Toast
- 2 cups unsweetened Coconut milk
- 1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Cooking With Greens Pink Sea Salt
- 1/2 tsp Cooking with Greens Maple Bacon Blend
- 1/2 cup JUST egg vegan egg subsitute
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 loves of Rustic French Baguette bread cut on bias
- 1 stick of plant based butter
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix all ingredients except butter and bread in bowl. Dip bread slices into mixture and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes. In large skillet, add 1 tbsp plant based butter on medium heat. Before adding bread slices to pan, gently squeeze ou excess liquid. Place each piece dow and cook for appz. 3 minutes each side or until browned. Finish in oven for 5 minutes. Serve with powdered sugar or tioppings of your choice.
